This was my second time coming here and I was impressed! For a Friday night, it wasn't crowded which I was pleased with. Our waiter was very attentive and polite in addition to the relatively fast service. I shared the fried mozzarella, had the chicken parm, and shared the chocolate lava cake and crème brûlée which were all delicious. Definitely recommend and will be coming back again.

if youre going to want to watch any event, like recently for example, the Kentucky Derby, go here & sit at the bar. If you ever wanted to do that, in the past you would go to the now defunct Damons in Cheshire. This screen alone is one reason alone to go. But there are other reasons. Met for a first date, which unfortunately was a real dud, in fact so much so, i left before the Derby started & opted for an on demand watch. BUT! I met some very, very nice people at the bar. Food we only ordered a couple of sppetizers which were very, very good. Eggplant & mushrooms. They served fresh bread with it. All very, very good. The star of the night for me were the french martinis. Best Ive ever had & this would be the gold standard for any french martini. wish i lived closer; Id be in every week.

I really enjoy going to happy hour at Ludal's. Hi loved the food and enjoyed the atmosphere. I started off with eggplant. Roll a teeny and then had the salmon plate. Everything was delicious. My friends had the fried mozzarella and then she had the sausage and kale everything was so good.

One of my other favorite spots. Since Covid things have changed but the food is still good. They no longer have the garlic knots. The crusty bread they give is very good because it comes from one of my other favorite spots (Bread and Chocolate). They still offer the garlic spread for the bread so that is a good thing. We went on Easter Sunday 2023 and the food was very good. My pasta came out too mushy so I sent it back so that was disappointing. They got the pasta right the second go around. Usually I never have that problem but I guess because it was so busy things happen. I would certainly go back. My usual waiter Jose was not able to wait on us but we had good service. You should go check out Ludal's its a mainstay in the North Haven, CT area. Enjoy!!!

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the area! The interior is large with multiple rooms for seating (as well as the bar), though I would still highly recommend making a reservation, as it does get very busy (especially on a weekend night). The food and service are both excellent. To start, they give you homemade sliced bread with a garlic butter spread, which is absolutely amazing. The menu is fairly extensive, and they usually have 2-3 dinner specials as well. I like the short rib, which is served with a mascarpone risotto. For dessert I always order the creme brûlée. The only complaint I have is the parking situation, at least when I went on a Friday night. There is a fairly large parking lot in back, but also a soccer field behind the restaurant, and when I went there was a soccer game going on, so it was very difficult to find a space. Overall I would say Ludal's is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to!

We keep going here around hockey games at Northford. They have big portions. Yummy food. Spacious place. Big screen Tv. Friendly staff. What more could you want? Don't the the outside/ strip mall feel throw you off. I really like the salmon and specials. Their salsas are great. And all the pasta is wonderful. We always come here when we are in the area. Tip: even though it is a big place, make a reservation. Tip: parking in the back

This is my 3rd time coming to Ludal's over the span of 4 years. My memory of the menu is hazy from past meals, so I will only speak on the meal I had today! To start, they bring out fresh bread with pads of butter and this garlic spread. If eating this bread and that spread could account for a meal, I would only eat that! LOL It is by far the best bread and butter/spread I've ever had at a restaurant. The menu has SO many good items. I felt overwhelmed not being able to choose, I wish I could taste the ones I was interested in-- like a tapas! For appetizer, my table shared the fried mozzarella which was absolutely delicious. I ate the piece with the sauce on it to see if it would still maintain it's crunch and it sure held up. One of the best fried mozzarellas I have tasted :) Today, I went with the Pork Chop. The pork chop had a delicious glaze on it with a side of roasted sweet potatoes. The pork chop itself was massive and I only ate half and decided to take the rest home. The meat was juicy and there wasn't that much fat on it (I do like pork chop fat, though!).
